Accessibility statement for Moot
Last reviewed: 10 September 2026
Moot is committed to making its website and web-based delivery services accessible to as many people as possible.
This accessibility statement applies to the customer-facing web service available through moot-deliver.com.
Using this service
We aim for people to be able to:
- move through the service using a keyboard
- enlarge text and zoom the page without losing essential functions
- use the service at a narrow or reflowed screen size
- complete forms and use controls that have clear labels
- see and understand validation errors
- open, use and close dialogs and other interactive controls with keyboard focus
- use the service with suitable assistive technologies
We do not claim that every browser, device or assistive technology will work in the same way.
Conformance status
The currently exposed customer-facing Moot web service has been self-assessed against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2.
Based on the assessment completed on 10 September 2026, the scoped web service meets WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
This is a technical self-assessment. It is not a certification, and it is not an independent or external audit. Moot is not WCAG certified. This page does not mean Moot is approved, recognised, accredited, certified or endorsed by HMRC or by government.
Moot is committed to providing a web service that meets WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
Scope of this assessment
The assessment covered the currently exposed customer-facing Moot web service, including:
- the public Moot website
- login and signup
- the Business Shipper portal
- sender shipment workflows
- customs preparation workflows
- the Freight Company fleet planning board
- help, FAQ, and legal and accessibility pages
What this statement does not cover
This assessment does not cover:
- Moot’s native Android application
- internal Moot operations tooling
- third-party websites or services that Moot links to but does not control, including services hosted by HMRC
- dormant, unreleased or otherwise unavailable functionality
Assessment limitations
The following points describe how the assessment was carried out. They are not listed as known accessibility defects.
HMRC representation details
An accessible in-page form is used when a business needs to enter an EORI number as part of HMRC direct representation. That form is present in the live service. The full production activation path was not exercised during the final assessment because an existing representation arrangement was already in place, and Moot did not change it solely for testing.
Screen-reader testing
Public-facing pages received screen-reader testing. The final signed-in checks relied mainly on keyboard testing, browser accessibility-tree inspection, focus testing, zoom and reflow testing, source and implementation inspection, and automated accessibility testing as supporting evidence. We do not claim that every signed-in workflow was tested with NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver.
Third-party content
Third-party services are outside Moot’s direct control and may have their own accessibility statements.
How we tested
The assessment against WCAG 2.2 Level AA, completed on 10 September 2026, used a combination of:
- manual keyboard testing
- focus-order and focus-restoration testing
- zoom and responsive / reflow testing
- colour-contrast measurement
- browser accessibility-tree inspection
- source and implementation inspection
- automated accessibility testing as supporting evidence
- screen-reader testing on representative public pages
